  1.                 GVP ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF IMAGEFX

  3. KING OF PRUSSIA, PA., November 1992.  GPV announced that ImageFX(tm) has 
  4. begun shipping.  This feature packed software package, which combines 
  5. the traditional elements of image processing and editing with high-end 
  6. special effects, allows the user to achieve stunning professional 
  7. results on any Commodore Amiga computer.

  9.    The 24-bit image manipulation features of this software allow the 
  10. user to achieve spectacular results in image creation, retouching and 
  11. editing.  ImageFX also includes the popular CineMorph(tm) package.  This 
  12. gives the user easy-to-use morphing capabilities, which feature the 
  13. fastest overall rendering speeds of any similar product on the market, 
  14. and produce incredible cinematic quality output.  In addition, ImageFX 
  15. comes with a wealth of image processing tools for color correction and 
  16. manipulation, image analysis, image transformation, and photographic 
  17. adjustments.

  19.    Modularity is one of the key features of the ImageFX system.  A 
  20. partial list of modules include those for scanning with the Sharp JX100 
  21. and Epson es300c scanners and displaying on the DCTV and Firecracker 
  22. 24.  New modules may be added to support additional scanners, 
  23. framegrabbers, printers and display devices.  ImageFX's unique system of 
  24. external "hook" programs provides for virtually unlimited versatility and 
  25. expansion possibilities with little effort.  Documentation for creating 
  26. the modules and hooks is freely available.

  28.    Another important feature of ImageFX is its unique system of image 
  29. memory management, which allows the user to scan images to disk and 
  30. minipulate them at very high speeds with a low memory overhead.  ImageFX 
  31. also offers extra conveniences such as image file format import and 
  32. conversion, a WYSIWYG display, and the most intuitive user interface 
  33. available.  Full ARexx support enables the videographer/photographer to 
  34. create new functions and add them to ImageFX's own menus.

  36.    Rusty Mills, an Animation Director at Warner Bros., has worked 
  37. extensively with ImageFX and has this to say about the software system, 
  38. "ImageFX is the most substantial graphics package to support 24-bit 
  39. animation on the Amiga.  The interface is more usable than almost any 
  40. software package I've used on any platform.  ImageFX is a must-have for 
  41. all graphic artists and serious animators."

  43.    Developed for use with any Amiga model, ImageFX requires at least 
  44. 1/2 MB of chip RAM and 3 MB of fast RAM.
